Vietnam
Eleven days north to south, from Hanoi and the Ha Giang loop down to Saigon.
Eleven days up and down Vietnam over the April break on exchange. It ran north to south, from Hanoi out to the mountains and then down to Saigon.
Hanoi came first: a free walking tour of the Old Quarter, egg coffee, Train Street, and the (muggy) views from the Lotte observation deck. Then the big one, the Ha Giang loop, a few days riding the mountain roads up near the Chinese border. After that an overnight bus to Cat Ba for a boat cruise with Cat Ba Ventures, the most chill day of the trip, and a stop in Ninh Binh for another boat through Trang An plus the Mua Caves in the fog. I flew down to Ho Chi Minh City to finish: Pizza 4P's, the War Remnants Museum, the Bitexco sky deck, a night on Bui Vien, and the Cu Chi tunnels the next morning, before flying home to Singapore.
